problems removing a rad (on a combi boiler)

hi all

i need to remove a radiator for some decorating work and it needs to be off for about 4-5 days (while the plaster dries)

i've already taken it off once to remove the old wallpaper so this isn't the problem.

the problem is that once off the wall, the whole system looses pressue. there is no hot water available for showering or the sinks, added to this, even though I have locked off both valves there is still a leak coming through and over the time it took to strip the paper was about 1litre.

left for 4-5 days these 2 problems seem rather large.

can any one help.
