I recently moved house and when i turned on the immersion for hot water, the light went on, but no body was home!! I reset the immersion and had hot water for a few days however it has gone again, and every time i need hot water i have to hit the reset button. As a total notice i have no clue what to do, does anyone have any suggestions???

The heaters do that when they're at the end of their life.
Not a big job for a pro, but you could get into a mess as a real "notice"(!) without the right tools.
Probably worh calling someone in. You should be able to get a rough quote by phone

Probably right Chris, but they also do that if they are bottom mounted and the tank has a lot of limescale in it (hard water area) causing it to periodically overheat and trip. Only cure for that is remove the immersion and get the scale out. But there again, we haven't been told any of that.

Thanks for the advice, i think it's probably best to get someone in to fix it who actually knows what they are doing
