Hi all. I have a worcester 240 combi boiler that was fitted about 13 years ago.Been good up til now.I have an intermittent problem with the boiler shutting itself off. This is what happens when i try to get it started again: There is a sound of 'turbulence" from the boiler (like a build up of pressure i guess) and then it clicks off and outens the pilot light. I solved it for a while by tapping a couple of pipes that run by the side of the combustion chamber. But the whole boiler goes out!! Any advice as to what it could be. its gettting colder!!

Probably some or all of the following.
Air in the system.
Corrosion.
Worn pump
Failing diverter
