Processor upgrade.

Does this seem a decent upgrade ?
I am thinking that for US$ 119.95 ... I may upgrade my PIII 600E processor to .... PL-iP3/T 1.2 GHz / 100 MHz FSB Intel "Tualatin" Celeron

If your going for this because its easier than replacing a motherboard, then i wouldnt bother, you can get good bundle deals for new motherboards and processors here.
There is nothing to building your own pc, and bear in mind that you might well be liable for import taxes etc from the us which can really hike the costs up.

Nah, the project is to keep the old Dell running purely for the hell of 'doing' it ... Ok, the m/c has sentimental value due to the funding of it's purchase... I just want to see where I can take the thing purely through additions, if the performance increases enough to allow running XP at around the current level on Win98Se then I'll be well pleased.

Win98Se security / updates from M$ will end July'ish I believe?
