Hi

I am looking at purchasing a new laptop I am looking at 2 particular laptops
both same price both same make both same spec but they have different processors one has Intel Core™ i3-2310 2.1GHz 3MB cache size and one has Intel® Core™ i3-2100 Processor 3.10 GHz 3M Cache now the difference seems obvious the 2100 has 2 3.10ghz cores vs 2 2.1ghz cores is it really that simple

help

thanks in advance

The laptops in your links both seem to have the same processor - its just that they have stated two different ones on the red version .... as a 2100 is a desktop version and does not come in a mobile version, it may be a spelling error and it actually has the 2310m

Anyway, at that speed range and up on a laptop, there is little difference which you will notice between i3 processors

Amount of RAM and HD speed will make a bigger difference, and for the biggest speed difference 'in use' a SSD solid state hard disk will make and even bigger difference

Thanks for your reply on the front page it does say i3 2310m only just realised its when you click on the more info tab the white one says 2100 thanks for pointing out the 2100 is a desktop processor
