Product Code old? Siemens HB20D540 Any1 have 1?

Looking to buy a Siemens built in electric oven - store shows product code as above but internet only has one result (in arabic!). It's a steel finish with grill and push in buttons, anyone have any comments please? (Have also searched through Siemens online catalogue and various large electrical stores on line!). I think it could be an older model?

It is a model number but not reconized by the search engines (reconized on the bshappliance care site),did you take note of the FD number next to the model number?this indicates the age of the appliance.

Heck, no! Will go back at the weekend, it's an hours drive away. Where do I look and what will the number be please? How will I tell how old it is from that number and how would this affect a guarantee/warranty? Would there be any other drawbacks - obtaining parts etc if it's a make such as Siemens?

Fd numbers are located near the enr number. If fd is 8601 it was made in jan 06. So you can see the first two numbers are the year (8 represents 0) and the second are the month . Youre guarantee is from date of purchase not the age of the appliance. As for parts dead easy just contact bsh appliance care and they supply parts.
