programmer Central heating "ON" wire

People,

Any of you folks know if the output from the programmer central heating "ON" output wire carries 240v or a lower voltage?

Much appreciated.

Most carry 240v ac though some rely on a volt free closing contact. If in doubt definitely assume it's 240v until proven not.
