On both normal and short wash dishwasher does not complete cyle. On the normal wash, after filling with water on the first part of the cycle, the dishwasher stops. Turning the dial has no effect until reaching the end of the programme, when it will empty the water.
On the the short cycle, it will fill and go through the programme fine, until it fills for a third time. Once filled it then clicks as if to go on to the next part of the cycle but stops. Again you have to take the dial to the end of the programme, and it will then empty.
Both on the normal and short wash, when the dial stops, there is a clicking/ticking noise coming from behind the dial.
The short rinse only programme works fine.
