i Have i transformer and the prong on the plug is bent. i want to replace the plug but its not like a normal plug where you can screw the back off. its in a sealeds plastic unit.

Surely it is a socket on the transformer and as such has female contacts ?
Unless he is referring to a 13 amp moulded-on plug on the mains flex.
