Hi guys

Just finished a simple plumbing job at home and dismantled the torch. On removal of the torch from the canister the valve on the can countinued to let a bit of gas, small hissing type sound. Got a bit worried about this so stuck the torch on and then off again. Hissing is know gone but still worried.

The bottle is out in the garage at the moment, which is well vented. Should I get rid of the can? or does this happen a lot with this type of valve?

Thanks

Pete

It does from time to time. "We" usually leave the can on the torch though.
test with a little spit over the hole. If it doesn't bubble it's OK. You'd know though, from the orrible smell!

Thanks ChrisR

It's a 400g Bernzomatic Propane can. I usually get a bit of a hiss of gas when I remove the torch but this time not much happened. I know the can is almost empty so thought it may be to do with this.

Just checked it again, seemed fine.
