Hi,

I'm looking for some opinions on Tiling patterns. I'm about to tile a large area of my Garden (6m x 7m) with Porcelain 20mm 600 x 900mm Tiles. A lot of brochures and media show these being laid in a 'Stretcher bond' pattern. But the Boss (Wife) has said she wants everything to be inline.

Is there any reason why the should be laid in a Stretcher bond pattern other than asthetics? Does this way give the tiles more strength in anyway over aligning each tile side by side?

Would appreciate any thoughts on this.

Thanks in advance.

PS, hope this posted in the right place

All in line will show up the slightest mismatch or movement in the path, I would point that out to her, it will drive her crazy every time she looks at it.
Then being married myself, do it her way!

Ha ha, thanks footprints. She's now changed her mind and wants it stretcher bond with 1/3 offset.
