Hi All ,

I hope someone can help me with the following

As I cannot afford a full MFT setup from Festool and don't have the space either , I have ordered a MDF replacement top (CNC) and intend to use it on two adjustable saw horses, locked in place with battens and 20mm dowels.

I would like to protect it from damage, but do not want to paint it as I want to ensure the 20mm holes keep their dimensions.

I am intending to give it a couple of coats of paste wax (which I believe will not change to 20mm hole size) to protect it from moisture.

Has anyone any thoughts or suggestions to help me with this?

Many Thanks in advance for any replies.

Thanks for the answer foxhole much appreciated,
Ice used it on real wood but not MDF will it leave a greasy residue or cause any issues with the cut ends do you think.
Thanks again

.
No residue , all absorbed. MDF sealer is very similar to a water based varnish

Best regards
