Hello All.

Please can anybody tell me what the PSI/Bar of an expansion vessel should be with an Ariston Eurocombi A23?

The system pressure is set just above 1 Bar.

Thank you.

Typically 0.8 Bar for a standard install ie. boiler not in the basement and several floors above (that would preclude a higher pressure)).
Check pressure with zero pressure on the water side of the vessel.
Be amazed if that vessel's still ok....but they were tough boilers given most were illegal installs.

Thanks for your info.
Everything appears to be fine, apart from the usual age on parts thing.
Please expand on your comment on illegal installs....

In the past certain manufacturers eg. Ariston were sold through builders merchants and being cheaper than many other makes were frequently installed by non registered gas installers. Certainly in London most installs were rough. They're a nice boiler to work on with very few design faults unlike some of the higher priced boilers at the time.
