Our CH is fine, but the HW is very intermittent. In the shower (and the kitchen taps!) the water is hot and then for no reason the boiler switches off and the water goes cold then it decides to switch on again and is hot , does anyone know what the problem could be? There just seems to be no way of controlling the water temperature. thanks

Does the flow switch stay in the calling position?

If yes it could be scale, pump, or a temp sensor.

This Genius says that if you run a hot tap in the basin half on while you shower, the boiler will stay on!

It could be a faulty diverter valve.
