Need advice, Had the guys from BG out to look at the Puma, as it is firing up for 30sec and switching off this can happen for hours at a time with the boiler going off and on over a period of a few hours so no heating, The HW is fine this is nice and hot.

I do get a odd lock out but only since BG changed the GAS valve, the pump the Full sequence board but the original problem still exists.

Now looking at what others have posted on here I notice the symptoms match the diverter not working correctly, so is this a wax based valve if this is case then it would be spot on as get worse when its VERY cold!.

Yes it'll be the wax diverter
try running hot water at a ow flow till its really piping hot
turn all c/h controls on/up and turn hot tap off

Cheers, Just had BG out again spoke with the guy and told him what and why i thought it was that he agreed and said that he'd come back tomorrow with a new one, trouble is I first up in the morning and its so cold!
