Hello, I am working on an old house and have inherited an IDEAL MEXICO 2 floor standing boiler serving the central heating only (hot water via 'mains 7').
On inspection the pump is half way round the system (old back boiler position) is this OK ? would it be better imeadiately in the flow from the boiler?.
What position should the expasion pipe be taken from, before or after pump, or anywhere in the flow ?
Thanks for any input
Steve

Stick the pump on the flow and the open vent and cold feed should be before it.
Boiler, Open vent first then cold feed (within 6 inches of each other) then pump

Thankyou ... yep confirms what I have deduced from this site ... some major plumbing required !!
Thanks again
