Had a call to look at a radiator (furthest rad on system) which needs to be bled pretty much once a week. The tenant said another plumber said the thing that was causing the air in the radiator was the pump, as the pump was too large/powerful for the system. He could not find any other cause for the radiator to be getting air so often.

Could a pump being too large for the system really cause this issue? If so, does the pump need to be replaced or can the pump be adjusted

Look back at your notes/text for positioning of pumps within a system - you probably did this multiple choiice assessment during the LCS practical assignment. From this, see if you can work out the answer to your own question.

Had a look through my notes, can;t really find anything that answers the question as in what may be causing air in that one (last) rad.

Any advice will be much appreciated.
