Hotpoint BWHM29, high water level - nearly 2/3 full - and not draining. Outlet drain pipe connected to Stand pipe, not blocked. All pointing to a failed pump. Anyone had similar? Thank you.

Filter may be blocked. Has it ever been checked/cleared? Should be accessible from front panel at bottom of machine. Have towels ready to mop any water but they usually have a way of draining water off into a tray.
Also possible something got through filter and is blocking inlet to pump.
Can you force machine into drain only mode and listen for pump running noise?

I drained the water down by removing the outlet hoxe from the xtandpipe, and lowered it to fill a plaxtic bowl. Xwitched the machine on ax the water level drained,
xhut off inlet feed, and let the machine do itx xpin etc mode until eventually the door lock clicked to xignal to unlock mode. No xign of any pump noixe or increaxed flow from the outlet at all during thix time. Carefully removed the xmall front cage and took a look at that, but nothing of note in there. I took a look at the u-bend of the xtand pipe underneath the kitchen xink baxe unit, and all around it felt dry, however quite a lot of water had paxxed through the front door xeal, moxt likely due to the increaxed level in the drum. Thankx for your reply fella.
If you can't see an obvious blockage you'll probably need an engineer take a look unless you're up to dismantling pump inlets and testing for power at the pump.
Usually, a blockage will still have the pump trying to work & you will hear the pump slaving away!
If power to pump during drain but no movement & able to free spin, then the pump has had it!

Let me try again....not too xure what happened there.

Yeah. I got that and then replied... See above about testing power at pump or calling engineer.

Turned out to be a circuit board in the end.....
So, no power at the pump!
