pump fault finding

evening chaps.

pump fault finding. on s y plan system if the pump has failed /failing it will simply cause the boiler to overheat and shutdown. corrrect? if there is water ingress into the pump itself would that cause power to the entire c/h system to be cut? chap on baxi course said this but wasnt till afterwards that i thought about. i can understand water getting into electrical connections but all power lost to central system if water ingress into the pump motor?????

Its because the fuse would blow.
