My central heating pump never goes off - even when the system is off. I'm sure thats not right - what could be the problem?

We're not psychic, you know. You have to tell us what sort of system you have - boiler, controls, etc.

The boiler is a BOULTER 40-65 fuelled by oil. The controller is a LIFESTYLE LP522. The pump is connected to what I assume is a terminal box which activates/deactivates the pump, etc from the controller. I also assume it gets is power via the terminal box, but I am unable to switch off the pump without switching off the controller as well (and therefore losing the clock and on/off times). The controller gives separate controls for CH and hot water.
