Can anyone tell me where i can find the engine number on a 2001 punto?
Reason for the above question is that i have just purchased a second hand y reg punto and paid a little bit more than i would probably have liked but the dealer said it had had one lady owner and the low milage is 29000.
As soon as i got it i took it for a service and the mechanic says the engine more than likely from a scrap yard because on the top it has in white tipex markings ( MK11 punto )
I took it back to the dealer and he is adamant it is the original engine and if i can prove it is not the original engine i can have my money back.
