Hi all could someone please tell me if new plasterboard needs to be pva'ed before plastering? as to me it looks very porous.

Also if using a plasterboard corner bead can the wall be skimmed with one coat or should it still be done with two?

no the gyproc does not have to be coated with pva glue.

always best to 2 coat. ;)
 
no you never pva plasterboard! use multifinish plaster and apply in two coats in one set!
