Pyronix Enforcer Alarm

Hi All

For some reason I am suddenly unable to set alarm. Instead of the intermittent beeping after setting etc, I now get a constant beep.

No error lights or messages, all sensors showing green on app!

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Have you changed any settings recently?

The difference between intermittent beeps and a solid beep post arming is whether the panel is working on a timed final, or expecting a final exit action from one of the inputs

Main panel not touched for certain, but wife ‘reported’ to me after she inserted wrong PIN when arming! Cannot see how this is related??

When arming it now remains constant until front door is closed, but then goes intermittent for a while, then constant and not arming!

Only other change is that the front door chime no longer sounds, despite ‘c’ showing on the panel!

Well before you break something let’s try simple stuff first. Go into either the engineers menu or master manager menu and into review logs...

You don’t need to enter every log here but lookout for themes and post the themes of the logs eg exit started, final set and post anything bizarre looking from the time the issue started

All seems normal in the logs, until yesterday’s ‘episode’ when some non typical events logged:

Exit Started
Set Failed
TechAlarm Silence

I think it’s recognised, as changes to intermittent when closed behind me - unless coincidental I suppose.

If you want to prove it for yourself we can change the exit mode to timed rather than final exit to demonstrate it

Fantastic (I think!). Yes, would be good to be conclusive if you don’t mind. Do they often fail just like this?

Under system options and exit modes for the zone in question change it from 1 final exit to 2 timed/final

See if it sets fine

Once it’s set give it 10 seconds without triggering a beam and the alarm then open the door in question see if you get the entry timer
