Quantum Boilers

Sorry, but they went to the scrappy quite some time ago. Your leaking heat exchanger might just be the thick round o-ring seal that has hardened and cracked. It's worth dismantling to see if that's the problem. Your local bearing supplier should be able to either provide a suitable size of o-ring or make one up from a kit. Alternatively you might try this company www.sealforce.co.uk

Thanks Jack. I'll keep that for reference however the ring is fine. I've disassembled the heat exchanger and there is a perforation in the inside of the outer heat exchange body. Probably due to kettleing. Thinking of trying to get a patch welded in. The boiler is in an Esse Range and I doubt I'll find anything of similar dimensions to replace it. If you come across anything else that might help, please let me know.

I know this is very old thread but if anyone is needing parts for a Q80 boiler I have just removed mine, is was making some very odd noises but there where no leaks and it was working, the cards etc seemed to be fine, contact me if interested.
