Query regarding new roof

Not exactly a DIY disaster, but potentially could be...we have just had the roof tiles replaced on our house, as the old tiles were wearing (damp walls in places) and we had no felt (old house).

Job has been completed but upon looking into the loft we have found that we can see light from around the front chimney area (the chimney was lowered as it was leaning slightly). We have asked that this is reviewed, but I have no idea whether this is normal or not.

No it isn't. Sounds like they have not fitted the flashing around the stack or fitted it incorrectly.
Get them back during daylight time and take them into your loft space. Once up there turn out all lights. This will show up all the gaps that need repairing.
