Question re cooker hood

Hi

I have an electrician coming to install a cooker hood, he has told me that I need to buy a 3 amp fused spur, however in B&Q etc I can only find 13amp fused spurs, can this be used simply by replacing the fuse in it with a 3amp fuse, thats what he seemed to suggest. Sorry I appreciate that this is probably a really stupid question but I dont have a clue about these things.

Yes, you can fit a 3a fuse inside a fcu. (spur).

you will need a 25mm metal backbox as well
