I am currently looking to replace the internal doors in my house. In the future I may convert the loft into an additional bedroom. Can someone tell me if there is a specific requirement/thickness for new door casings if they are to be fitted with fire doors? I've been having trouble finding any suitable as I need 150mm. Thanks for any help and advice.

When a loft conversion is carried out, Building Control will look for door upgrades, they won't expect you to change the linings/frames etc unless the existing ones are woefully inadequate.

We had to double up the door stops to 35mm or something like that until we got the completion cert.
