I need to replace a 6mm2 cable supplying my shower with a 10mm2 cable as i want to fit a 9.5kw unit. I can run the cable and connect it up but i want to stay legal, so is it going to be best to just get my work checked or get an electrician to do the whole job?

Regards

Matt

Merry Christmas to all!

If you are going to get an electrician to check your work, do you know of one that is prepared to put his/her kneck on thye block and say your work is ok.
Personally If I have not done the work, all you would receive from me is a Periodic Inspection Report.
Probaly cheaper to ask an electrician to do the job.

It depends entirely on what your LABC charges and whether they do what they should or insist that as well as paying their fee you also get an electrician in to certify the work.
