I live in a bungalow and I have a old single door opening in the living room onto the back garden.

I would like to replace the old door with UPVC mahogany French doors with a width of 1300mm to 1400mm.

Obviously, the existing doorway would need to be made wider on one side, and a new lintel above etc.

So far I have had quotes of about £2,700 and £2,100, and £1,700 from conservatory companies.

Do these seem like good prices?

Thanks. I have now managed to get the lowest quote reduced to 1.5k and include a new lintel, making good the plaster, and building regs.
