We are currently having problems with our radiant 24 combi boiler that has been installed in our loft. it is self diagnosing and the light is illuminated to say that the heat sensor is not working. we can not get any hot water out of it at the moment. heat sensor has been replaced but this has made no difference! any ideas?

we are also thinking of having it replaced and whole central heating system upgraded. plumbers who have visited to date have muttered that radiant boilers are poor - is this true, or are they just uncommon? should we replace it (it is only only 4 years old) as part of a system upgrade, or keep it?

Get a better heating engineer. The one who knows how the boiler works, therefore can establish why the system is not working. To get a plumber with no knowledge of boiler operation will of course result in shake of head and mutterings of need for replacement.

Having said that, I have not worked on a Radiant boiler either. But then all boilers work to a set pattern. With help of boiler manual, repair is possible.
