Hi all

I've a problem with the above boiler. It's recently started making a noise when we draw off hot water (air lock?) which is getting louder, currently sounding like the wurrring noise from prop aircraft coming into land!!!

The niose dissappears after about 2 mins or so. There is no sign of water leaking

Any ideas please??

scale is noise maker in a lot of areas, do you have hard water?

Without hearing the noise its difficult to guess.

Particularly as you say it stops after two minutes!

As twgas has said scale doe's it make a noise on central heating ??? I would hazard a guess (& it is a guess) that it is doing it untill the gas modulate's down e.g as the heat increase's the gas pressure & there fore heat drop's , again as per twgas 's post !! scale , sludge ??? in heat exc ??? get an rgi to test it out !!
