dear all

When the central heating is working, I can hear a ticking noise in the airing cupboard upstairs. It is a bit like the sound of water dripping on a wooden floor, but it is not constant and happens at irregular intervals. When the CH is not working, there is no noise. It looks like coming from the ceiling of the airing cupboard, near the pipes connecting the water tank in the loft and the pump in the airing cupboard. But there is no visible sign of water leak in both the airing cupboard and loft (I could not see very clearly in the loft as the space near the water tank is difficult to get access).

If the noise is not from water leak (hopefully), what could be the cause? Many thanks for any advice.
