radiator airlock

Had our boiler replaced in june by a corgi registered plumber .He said that im might have release trapped air in the system in the next few days so i did ,anyway now one of our radiators is cold at the top on one side ,but it has a solid nut on the where i could release the the air from.Should i crack nut open or is there some other way to release the air

if you do end up taking the plug out, buy yourself a bleed plug and some PTFE tape first. Cheaply available at your DIY shed or plumbers merchant. Will make life easier next time.

Turn off the valves at both ends of the rad before you take it out, or water will gush out.
