Radiator cover touching radiator...is it a fire risk?

Just bought a radiator cover but its a really tight fit.

Bit worried that it might be a fire hazard.

What do you reckon.

If it makes any difference the cover is from screwfix.

and the heating is a new combi boiler.

BTW I cannot fit a larger cover (well not the matching one from screwfix) as we don't have the floor space.

But fitting a cover will reduce the heat output of the rad.

Aware of heat reducing - I'm going to fit heat reflector to get the best out of it I can - I'm going up a church building and the rads look really out of place!

Ignition and combustion of wood is mainly based on the pyrolysis (i.e. thermal decomposition) of cellulose and the reactions of pyrolysis products with each other and with gases in the air, mainly oxygen. When temperature increases, cellulose starts to pyrolyse. The decomposition products either remain inside the material or are released as gases. Gaseous substances react with each other and oxygen, releasing a large amount of heat that further induces pyrolysis and combustion reactions.

I hope the above helped. I have no idea what it actually means but it does sound good.
