Hi i need some help i've got two radiators to hang in my living room 600 x 1400 singles there pretty heavy and standard wall plugs and screws are not going to be upto the job the walls are plaster board on some sort of solid insulation then breeze blocks,from the outside of the wall through to the blocks is 35mm any good ideas of fixings would be a great help.

Buy extra long screws and plugs. B&Q do bags of the screws and grey plugs together, approx 100mm long.

I have hung tall heavy vertical rads with these on walls like yours.

He could get away with mounting that rad like that, because it was a small rad, and one of the brackets was on sturdy chipboard.

However, there is no way I would mount a 1400mm long rad on just toggle fixings on to plasterboard.

Get yourself some extra long plugs and screws so that you can have peace of mind because the rad is solidly fixed into masonry. These are available up to 120mm long
