Radiator in & out temperatures

I am doing some work on my central heating system and got hold of a radiator thermostats.
I read that the temperature in is 80ºC and out 60ºC (max full bore) does this sound correct?

i guess that if the CH primaries are 90ºC it could be right!

Only if boiler has copper heat exchanger or it is a condenser. 90 degrees is too hot- unlikely you will get flow temp of this high

1. The boiler thermostat has a range of 55-82°C. So if your boiler is getting up to 90°C, the thermostat is faulty.

2. The boiler is designed to work with a temperature differential of about 11°C, not 20°C which you have at the moment. What is the speed setting of your pump?

Check your flow and return temp at the boiler. The flow should be about 80°C and the return about 69°C. If the difference is more than 11°C turn the pump up.

my boiler flow and return temps are fine.
just out of curiosity, what would you expect radiator flow and return temp at max to be?

I have been told most go up to 82C-85C and most will cut out at 85C, however my Uncle has a Biasi boiler which goes up to 90C!
