Radiator not working

my radiator in my kitchen isnt working. It doesnt get hot, even the pipes feeding into it are cold . I think its been like that for a few months, its just that i never bothered about it before. But now i have a girlfriend, she is complaining that she is cold in the kitchen. what do i need to do to get it working ? (the radiator i mean)

Are both rad valves turned on Do you have a trv (pin may be stuck on seating)

Hmmm, not my plumbers costume . i think i have my dunce hat on .
whats a trv? i dont have any red taps at the end my boiler is behind my chimney if thats any useful information. maybe my heating system and radiators are ancient
