So we've had the central heating on and one of our radiators is going on full blast even with the trv value turned to the on position. I've tried it in various positions, but still the same - as hot as it goes!

Is the trv value knackered or is it a simple fix? Just to note that its not a boiler/valve issue as the radiator goes cold when we turn the heating off!

any advice, as always, greatly appreciated.

Hi

Is the head section of the TRV secure?
If the head section is loose tighten it, if it is tight undo and remove it and check the pin as not broken. Do you have a simular TRV on another rad change them over and see if the fault changes rad.

it seems pretty tight but i'll take it off and swap it, its a new build so all the rads have the same. cheers
