I am having a new central heating system installed in a few months but need to install some noggins for the rads. i Know what model rad i want but to calculate teh size on the BTU calculator do i use T30, T50 or T65 as the running temp. I know all can be used but what would be the normal for a new install.

I believe the running temp will depend on the heat source used (among other things), i.e. an ASHP will have the lower T30 value.

Normal has boiler? Should I base that on the T50 option?

Also from what I see when selecting a rad they often have a BTU output several hundred more than the recommended due to size variants. Is it fair to assume as long as you go to the nearest one above the recommended BTU you are covered and can just control the extra heat with TRV's
