Hi all,

I have heard that its unwise to have a thermostatic valve on every radiator on a combi boiler, as apparently it can cause problems.

Can anybody confirm?

Thanks,

All depends which combi, but with the majority there should be one left off where the roomstat is

you should have at least one rad with no TRV, in the room where your Wall thermostat is.

Otherwise the TRVs might all close down and stop accepting heat, while the wall stat is telling the boiler it needs to run and pump out heat that isn't going anywhere.

You may also need a bypass to take flow from the pump that can't go anywhere.

edited: too slow :x

What about the room where the wall stat is?

So its probably best not to mention monkeys then!!

Its quite nice here (for a change) spring like, up to 14oc but forecast wintry at the weekend.

You should have dragged your American girl over here............NOT!!!
