Need some Advice , my Central heating system Radiators dont have TRV's , is it possible to remove the old Olive from the 10mm pipe so i can fit new TRV's, theres not enough pipe showing to be able to cut it cos they come out of the wall and theres not much to play with

Any help please

Yes, Use a junior hacksaw and cut across the olive but don't cut it too deep or you could cut into the pipe. Keep looking at the olive and when you see copper just rotate the hacksaw slightly. When you get a groove in the olive, use a flat head screwdriver and twist to snap the olive off. Hope that rambling is clear enough to understand

you dont have to put trv on every rad if a room does not get hot with the rad thats in it then putting a trv on it wont make any differance at all you only need to fit them in rooms that get to hot but under the new building regs of 2006 they have to be fitted in bedrooms on replacement of the boiler or new installs.
