Radiator Valve???

Had TRVs fitted to the older radiators around 18 months ago and have fast discovered the ?? shown in the pic below.can anyone enlighten me please?

It is a lock shield valve what is your actual question ?
You've answered it! I didn't know what it was and can't remember ever seeing anything like it before. Is it adjustable? Anyway, it looks as though it came from his scrap box.

This model is made by Danfoss, and isn't the cheapest on the market!


To adjust them, the cap comes off the top. Inside, the valve is turnable by a hex/Allen key.

...although in a well behaved C/H system, you wouldn't normally need to adjust the lockshields.

yes it is adjustable and as already said by @RandomGrinch up at the top end of the market not the cheap ones, you remove the cap and inside you will find a female Allen fitting, you use an Allen key or similar to adjust it then replace the cap
