Looking for a smarter way to manage your heating this winter? We’ve been testing the new Aqara Radiator Thermostat W600 to see how quiet, accurate and easy it is to use around the home. Click here read our review.
I bled two radiators this morning - one upstairs nearest the boiler, one downstairs - and now the pump has stopped working and the radiators are going cold. The cylinder and pump were renewed last winter and have been working okay until now. Any ideas please??
Check the header tank to see if its full of water check any bleed valves near to the pump. Did you get water out of the rads you bled? . Are all the others full?
Sorry but you will have to be a bit more descriptive - as I haven't a clue what I'm doing! What/where is the header tank and bleed valves. I got water out of the downstairs radiator but not the upstairs one - all others seemed okay.
Header tank will probably be in the loft or it maybe above the cylinder. It is the smaller of your two tanks, check it has water in it , the balvalve may have stuck thus not letting any more water into it when you bled out the air from your rads.
