radiators not getting hot

Hi i have an ideal icos boiler and is making very strange loud banging noises.
The radiators are now not working the icon on my boiler says c like it should do but the led light is flashing on and off not really sure what this means can any one help please.

Whats the water pressure on the gauge?

Should be between one and two bar with pump off.

The boiler in the kitchen makes a loud banging noise a couple of times then goes off and the pump upstairs is not doing anything.

Its cold whereas normally its hot.

sounds like the pump is seized

If the pump was powered and seized then it would be getting too hot to touch.

It sounds to me as if either the pump is faulty or there is no power getting to it.

I would measure for applied voltage to the pump.

how do you do that then?

do i need to get someone out to look at it?

it just means check you've got 240Vac at the pump. if you can't do this check you probs need to get someone in
