Hello Everyone,

I’ve noticed in this recent cold-snap that two radiators are cold from just above the middle, downwards. They are two of two on the same section.

Can it only be sludge, or is there something else I can look at first??

Thanks for any advice.

Best Wishes,

Paul

Sludged up. That's not the only place it will be lurking. You could take out the two rads and clean them through but I would recommend a proper flush of the whole system.

check that the rads have been bled and all rads balanced properly this can sometime get thing moving properly how old is the system

The system is abot 15 years old.

What does balanced mean??

Sorry to be thick!

My mate fitted this new slimmer rad and moved the location. The thermostat is other side of the rad to where the hot feeds in, is that normal - I didn't want to upset him!

Cheers,

Paul
