I,ve had Vaillant combi boiler and altech altc0014 rf stat fitted last year and seemed to be working fine till this year when we closed heating down for summer.When we turned it back on again later in the year and first of all we had a water hammer,so Iswitcned off the combi and bled the rads,this worked a little but only when certain rads were fully open which we really didn,t want.The rads now are warm even when the stat is low 10c and when stat reads 20c.We have set our rf stat at 21.5 when full on and 10c when low after 10pm prog4 and 5 and 2 in afternoon .We have replaced Altc0014 stat and rec but still same problem is this normal as we are pensioners using our savings to buy what we were told is best combi etc and would save us gas usage, model of boiler is Vaillant Ecotech Plus,by the way I,ve recharged pressure and its holding at over 1.3+ so that seems ok I,ve trying to sort this for a month now but not yet solved it and oh! joy the firm that put it in is no longer trading.
