I have two rain drains at the side of the house with brick "hopper" surrounds at ground level. How can I eliminate or reduce these as they cause an obstruction in our narrow side alley. There is a round grid at ground level with ceramic underground pipe. The grating fits in the socket of the ceramic pipe and the down pipe has a shoe just above the grating.
We have to get our wheelie bins past and 2-3 inches width gained would help.

Thanks
Dal

Simply remove them and build-in new RWP to drain connectors flush with the path surface. Trapped or untrapped would depend on your draining arrangements?

The RWP can be re-clipped closer to the wall if it would help.
