Rain repellant before fitting camera?

Before I fit my last few camera is it a good idea to apply rain repellant to the lens before fitting?
They will be fitted under a soffit so hopefully won't be too bad but was just a thought before fitting.
I wasn't sure if this could effect the image with a coating.
The camera is not a dome camera it's these: Hikvision DS-2CE56H0T-IT3ZE

We don’t use rain repellant and it would need replying periodically if you did.

If you have a turret then it won’t be needed, if you have a dome then they are more prone to rain water on the lens the rain repellent will probably still leave droplets on it,.
