Rainproof planning notice

I see several yellow notices posted on properties applying for planning permission. These appear to be just printed on yellow paper but they appear to last forever. There is one in the hamlet where I live that has been there for around 18 months thro' wind, rain, snow, sun, and it's still in pristine condition. What sort of ink & paper is used?

Cornish Piskies- or soaked in clotted cream=yellow. OR another yellow fluid

The ones that went up outsdide my house in what was the Caradon area were laminated and tough as old boots.

Mine weren't - so I put them in a plastic A4 sleeve that cost pennies.

Interesting Tipper, I am also in Caradon area and the one on my house is definately not laminated but rain does not affect it, also one close to me has been there over 18months and no damage. Maybe your local authority is different as we now come under Cornwall Council.

You can buy special "waterproof" paper, for use with laser printers and photocopiers. It will last ages without the need for lamination. Google "waterproof paper laser" to get an idea of the products available.

If you are a council putting up planning notices, not having to laminate everything will be a big time saver.
