Raised Decking

Hi

I live in Scotland and i'm thinking of putting in raised desking to the ground floor of my house. The problem is that the ground floor is about 1.3m off the ground due to the ground slope.

I was going to use posts to support the decking but because of the size of the dcking area (5m x 4.2m) and the slope i was thinking about building blockwork pillars to support the decking.

Does anyone have any suggestions/comments regarding this?

Any help would be great.
